Cord D, MA

Cord D

MA (Art of Teaching), MA Candidate (counseling), Mentor

Cord was raised right here in Boulder, Colorado. He discovered his passion for working with people as an English teacher in the mountains of central Japan. Upon returning stateside, he spent a few years working in education in the Denver area, and then moved to Durango to work as a Wilderness Therapy Field Guide, where he spent the next three years falling in love with the field of mental health. He is now pursuing a master’s in Counseling Psychology at the University of Denver. When he isn’t spending time having fun outside, or playing music around the Front Range, he’s investing in his relationships. Cord’s primary goal as a mentor is to help people strengthen all of their relationships – with the people they love easily, the people they find it hard to love, with their greater community, and, of course, with themselves – in a way that actually encourages long lasting change.
