Ali brings a holistic and mindfulness-based approach to mentoring and loves helping client’s eradicate limiting beliefs and cultivate self-empowerment. She graduated with her MA in Contemplative Psychocoaching & Buddhist Psychology from Naropa University and also has a graduate degree in Holistic Health Studies. She has worked with young adults and students at Naropa University in both counseling and career advising roles and currently teaches students as a Meditation Instructor. She is dedicated to helping clients identify their unique gifts and partnering with them on their journeys to exploring their purpose, passions and curiosities. She views personal health and healing as intrinsic to the collective health of humankind. Through fostering compassion and kindness for ourselves, Ali believes we create a synergistic, holistic relationship between the planet and humanity.

3. Where did you grow up? Minnesota
4. What was your favorite class in school (k-grad school)? Young: Creative Writing ; Older: Social Justice & Diversity
5. Who was your favorite band growing up? In my teens, I was pretty obsessed with Jimi Hendrix
6. Name your 3 favorite jobs you’ve had? Working as Career Advisor at Naropa University, teaching fire mitigation as a Team Leader at Boulder County Youth Corps and supporting young adults as a Mentor at a few different agencies
7. What do you love doing more than anything else in the world? Backpacking, reading in my hammock, traveling over seas, volunteering at music festivals, experimenting in the kitchen with new ingredients
8. What’s your favorite food? Fancy tacos with lots of guacamole and hot sauce
9. Chocolate or vanilla? Strawberry
10. Your greatest accomplishment: Having the opportunity to work with and support so many people as a career counselor, mentor and teacher
11. What do you know now that you wish you knew then? “Compassion for others begins with kindness towards ourselves”
