Candidate

Josh is currently deepening his knowledge at Naropa University, where he is finishing a BA in Clinical Psychology and Eastern Religions, with an emphasis on yoga and Buddhism. Josh’s journey in the mental health field began in 2019. He’s held several roles in many treatment settings. Josh even had the unique opportunity to combine his passion for cooking with his profession by serving as a chef in one facility! Despite this, his tenure as a case manager had the most impact on him. Josh had the privilege to work one-on-one with clients, assisting them during their most challenging times and celebrating their progress and achievements.

Parallel to his career, Josh embarked on an enriching spiritual journey. Over the past four years, he has maintained a dedicated yoga practice and discovered a profound connection with meditation. Following the teachings of the Soto Zen Buddhist tradition, he commits to daily meditation sessions, which have been transformative in reshaping his interactions with the world and himself.

Josh’s early life presented its own set of challenges, which have equipped him with the empathy to genuinely understand the struggles of the clients he supports. This personal understanding has ignited a passion within Josh to work diligently with those facing issues he resonates with. Beyond his professional and spiritual pursuits, Josh has a deep appreciation for nature, absolutely loves to travel, enjoys dancing the night away at Redrocks, but his biggest passion would be his dog Ramon.
